| | Peterson 781 Backup AlarmThe Peterson 781 backup alarm is designed for medium duty applications in higher noise areas. Our 781 backup alarm is a compact unit which produces 102 decibels. Peterson's alarms are unique because they stay at the same decibel level throughout the life of the alarm. This is in contrast to our competitors’ alarms which gradually tend to grow quieter. This alarm includes a glass filled nylon housing which provides rugged durability and all internal components and are encapsulated in epoxy for protection from vibration and moisture. A grounding strap allows the unit to be grounded through a mounting screw. This backup alarm can operate in an extreme temperature range of -40 degrees to +185 degrees Farenheit. The 781 operates in 12 to 24 volt systems and draws less than .5 amp. The 781 backup alarm meets SAE J994 type C requirements.
