TIPS FOR A GREAT INSTALL

The Peterson 423XR-4 LED stop & tail.

When you order this light from us you will receive the light and the chrome bezel together.

So let's get started - this light will require a flat mounting surface of 3.5" x 7.25" minimum to install. (This includes extra space for the bezel.)

General installation tools might include: a drill, bits, screws for mounting, screwdriver, small round file, wire-ties, electrical tape, and stick lighter.

Installation "Tip of the Day"
Test the location of new lights with masking tape. A test fit can be done with blue or green automotive masking tape by simply taping the light to the surface. This can help you see what the location will look like before drilling holes or cutting into your truck or trailer.

One of my favorite features of this light is that the bezel snaps on over the screws, providing an incredibly sleak look to the lighting system. The Peterson 423XR-4 LED also features a hard wired design that, when installed with our 561 connectors, provides a waterproof and corrosion free connection. This eliminates those annoying flickering lights.

These lights have been used on our test truck for 2 years now and continue to perform perfectly. As with any light they are not indestructible. However, with some fairly good abuse from day to day hauling, these lights have taken some descent impacts without breaking. Truly leaving me surprised! And as far as brightness goes, once again the Peterson light prevails! The 423XR-4 illuminates all 10 Leds for the stop & turn function of the light. These lights ARE SURE TO BE NOTICED!!

If you are installing these as a replacement for the standard (incandescent) lights, chances are you will have a rapid flash problem. This can be solved by installing our 573 (2-prong medium duty) or our 574 (3-prong Heavy duty) flasher.

Peterson Cab Marker Light Kit V118KA

The V118KA comes with easy to follow instructions and a handy hole drill template. The tools required for this installation include: an electric drill, 1/8" and 1/4" drill bits, Phillips screwdriver, & pliers. The kit includes all other hardware, screws, fuse, and wiring.

To mount the cab marker lights follow these steps.
  • Locate the mounting positions for the lights on the cab roof and mark them.
  • Use the "hole drill template" supplied on the back of the packaging to locate mounting and wire holes and mark with a center punch on the cab roof.
  • Take the front edge of the headliner loose to gain access to the inside of the cab roof.
  • Next, drill 1/8" holes for mounting screws. Then, drill a 1/4" hole for the wire exit hole.
  • Mount the lights to the cab roof with the wire running through the 1/4" hole.
  • Using 3-M connectors, attach all black wires to a length of wire and attach to a wire going to the truck parking lights.
  • The cab marker lights ground to the truck body through the front mounting screw.

The V118KA cab marker lights are corrosion resistant and exceed all FMVSS safety standards - plus, they make it much easier for others to see you when driving your truck at night!
