Peterson's incandescent stop, turn and tail lights include the stop or brake light function, the turn signal, and the tail light function. We offer a variety of sizes and types of brake, turn, and tail lights including rectangular, 4 inch round, square and oval. There is also a wide range of mounting options for our stop turn and tail lights, such as: pedestal mount, surface mount, flush mount, grommet mount, and flange mount.
The purpose and location of a stop, turn, and tail light is as follows:
LOCATION - The correct location of the stop, turn, and tail light is on the rear of the trailer, truck, bus, or vehicle. Two lights should be placed symmetrically as far apart as is practical.
PURPOSE - The purpose of a tail light is to indicate the vehicles presence and width. The stop or brake light is used to show when the vehicle is braking. The rear turn signal indicates the direction the vehicle and trailer are turning. When lights are installed correctly, the hazard or warning lights should identify a disabled vehicle.
