He had searched for lights to sell to customers that had broken lights on their jet ski trailers. After a failed attempt at trying to talk the owner of the shop into becoming a Peterson distributor, the young entrepreneur took it upon himself to become a distributor. He and his wife visited Peterson Manufacturing and were amazed at the family atmosphere and pride that each employee took in his/her work. They were also impressed with the high standards that Peterson held to. Most of the Peterson lights, including the Piranha LED brand, not only met but also surpassed all DOT standards. The idea of "you get what you pay for" certainly held true in a positive way with Peterson Manufacturing. Peterson builds quality into their lights and accessories. Our founder was so impressed by Peterson that the decision to become a distributor was a no-brainer. Thus, FoxTail Lights was born. The choice to sell Peterson safety lighting and accessories online was made after several years of "door-to-door" selling to concrete companies, trailer repair shops, and other small businesses in the southeast Kansas area.
